Iffiness

I took a trek through the bush again.  This time I took a different route in an attempt to bypass the creek side path I’ve been following.  I ended up wasting an hour stabbing myself in the face repeatedly with twigs. I did eventually find a better route for the second half of the trek, so all is not lost.

I wandered around the area past the place I almost got caught at last time. There’s lots of nice deep stuff there, but nothing like what I’ve been experiencing at Creeky Bog. And so I went back to Creeky Bog. Turns out there’s some nice bits nearby that aren’t quite as visible from the creek, but by the end of the trip I was back in the place I almost got caught at last week. So much for playing it smart, huh. Luckily, this time I didn’t have any visitors.

But it’s making me kinda sad. I wandered around in circles for almost 2 hours before I found the guts to play at the edge of the creek again. It was worth it, because the mud is beautiful… But now every single little noise freaks me out. Once the leaves are off the trees, which I expect to start in a few weeks, it’s going to be even more dangerous of a spot. So I don’t know what to do. I have this feeling I’m going to keep returning to that spot.  There is some surrounding areas that are just as deep and aren’t right on the edge like this. I hope in a few weeks I’ll be able to do my business at least a few feet from the edge… But there’s still the pile of wood I left at the side as well that may attract some unwanted attention…

But all I can do is hope to get away with it for a few more weeks.  Soon I’ll be whining about not being able to play…

Looks like a very nice place to play. As the weather gets colder I find just adding more layers clothes and the adrenaline of doing something like that enable me to continue playing all through winter and spring.
