Wow. Yesterday it rained. And rained. And rained! Heavy rains, steady rains, light rains, all over the course of the day. So I know I was just at the mud pit the other day, and there wasn’t a lot of water there to use… But what about today? I was just at the mud hole recently, and I don’t know if it’s such a good idea to go again so soon…
But I went. To the mud hole. And it is flooded all over again. Completely flooded, with several inches of fresh precipitation right around the fun part of the pit that I’ve been using the last few trips. And part of that part is a good foot deeper than the surrounding area. Oh this is absolute bliss! I mushed around and mushed around and spent hours digging at the bottom of the ‘pond’ and making the entire section back into a soupy muddy mess. I got almost 2 feet deep of absolutely soupy mud that got really thick and gooey and sticky the more I mixed it up.
I couldn’t get rid of about 2″ of surface water, no matter how much mud I made. But right under that it was really soft and smooth and just an absolute pleasure to roll around and play in and I could’ve stayed there all day except the ‘inside’ mud was too soggy to really do what it’s supposed to. I also lost my last bottle of shower gel, but that’s OK because I can get more pretty cheap 🙂
I didn’t get out of the bush until almost 5 in the morning, but again, no visitors, no interruptions, not a single nearby ATV to interrupt my fun. I’m so going to go back to this pit again in a few days and hopefully there’s just a little bit less water. Oh hey in other news, I went and wrapped my little digicam in plastic and I’m hoping to be able to use it to take some pictures. Hopefully its flash doesn’t alert the neighbours (which I’ve learned are a little closer than I originally thought, but I’m pretty certain they can’t hear the occasionally squelchy noises I make)…
Oh yeah and I apparently scored the first hole in my lovely zentai suit. There’s one in each foot, both near the toes. I will look and see if there some kind of sock that I can put over it and not lose said socks in the sticky mud. I’ll keep y’all posted!
The nights are expected to get really warm again in a few days, so we’ll see if my extremely generous karma is enough to get me by for a few more trips!
