Mud Spots

I found this map with some muddy sites marked on it… Of course, there are none near me… But if I find some, I’ll add them.

I’m hoping to take a trip this weekend to a quarry/mine site I found. This company thickens their tailings, so it comes out as a thick paste…

(Just stick the hose directly into my pants)

Update: Nevermind. Can’t find enough information on their security to guarantee a successful incursion, and trespassing is bad mmkay.

Weekend Plans

Oh yes. We’re planning a weekend excursion. It’ll be the last one of the year most likely… What will we find this time? 🙂

Requirements

  • Parking… I need to put my car somewhere… Preferably not along the side of some random road…
  • Garden Claw… It just popped in my head that this might come in handy… Not sure I want to spend $35 on one, however…
  • Flashlights, batteries… The weather is expected to be mild and the moon about 3/4 full
  • Change of clothes… Since cleaning up on-site is difficult, I will require some clothes that look normal enough but can get dirty. Value Village should come in handy, here. 🙂
  • Bug spray… It is Canada, after all.
  • GPS… I seem to have bricked it last time I was mapping from it, so hopefully I’ll be able to get it working again…
  • Water… Food…

Welcome!

Hello, I’m Squishbob. I have been traveling the local countryside for years, searching and mapping out only the best mud holes. I’m a pretty private guy, but sometimes talking about mud and stuff helps me clear my mind. You will find here stories about my experiences and words of wisdom for others who may share my (admittedly strange) hobby.

It doesn’t look like much… But it was deep… And sticky!

I found this mudhole on a random trail one day. It looked innocent enough… A bit close to the road, but it’s some random dirt backroad. Zero traffic!

Except, it’s actually a trail leading to a group of cottages bordering a nearby lake… And sure enough right in the middle of having the time of my life playing around in this most awesome mud hole, someone decides it’s time to leave… I avoided being noticed… Barely!
